Great To Meet You!

Brent Moore, Founder, Redeemed Living

At twelve years old, I began experimenting with drugs and alcohol.

By eighteen, I was a full-blown cocaine addict and alcoholic. From eighteen to twenty one I lived a life of utter chaos.

My life had become completely unmanageable. I ruined every relationship and started losing everything I was working so hard to keep.

Something was missing.

I began to notice others who had been on the same road I was on for many years. I knew that I did not want to be on that same road five years later or, worse, dead.

On March 20, 2011, I decided to turn my addictions over to God. Broken down on a dirt road, I promised God I would not pick up another drink or drug again.

Two days later, I surrendered my life to Christ and have been living for him since! In a desperate search to find my new identity in Christ, I found God, church, and community. The community I found in the church and through God is what helped me to maintain my sobriety. Surrounding myself with men who were sober and wanted to see me stay sober was empowering.

Strangely I found that serving and giving back empowered me even more.

In the fall of 2012, two other men and I started meeting. They had the same mission as me, to help people find sobriety through Christ.

We decided to start up a ministry called Celebrate Recovery at Crosspoint Church in Valdosta, Ga. This ministry is where my passion for addiction ministry began.

November of 2015, God gave me the vision for Redeemed Living.

In March of 2016, we opened the doors and received our first client.

I am now married and have two beautiful children.
